Guitar

After going through quarantine, I found myself scrolling through Instagram and YouTube mindlessly whenever I had any free time. This took hours out of my day that I hadn’t planned for, and I just felt more exhausted and less productive. But there was something refreshing about picking up my guitar and learning a new song during my free time. Learning this skill with my time instead of binging YouTube felt more productive and honestly more fun. It takes some time to get used to the strumming and all that, but it’s my favorite thing to do now when I’m bored. My favorite song to play on it right now is Without You by The Kid Laroi (even though no one asked).

Camera

I’m still in the middle of break about to get back to school, and I found myself grabbing the camera more often these past couple of weeks. Something about Fujifilm’s aesthetically pleasing camera bodies just make me want to shoot nice images with them. This thing has shot so many dope photos and has gone through a lot of cool adventures with me (despite all of us being in a global pandemic). The camera is called the Fujifilm X-Pro3, and I mostly shoot with a 23mm f/2 lens. It’s got a really nice leather strap on it handmade from Portland that my friend got me. Just look at it. Damn. If y’all want to check out my photography click here.

Book

The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod is the book that I’ve been reading these past couple of days. He basically talks about this morning routine coined “the Miracle Morning” that supposedly can make all aspects of your life better if it’s done everyday and with purpose. I’ve really been wanting to become more productive in the mornings because I’ve heard that it can make the rest of my day better. I decided to start trying this routine this year, and I’ve been failing for the past couple of weeks honestly. But hopefully, after I get back to school, I can get out of my damn bed and do some damn stretching before 9 am.

Moment Sling

I got this as a gift over Christmas, and I absolutely love this thing. It’s a small compact sling bag by Moment (if you guys aren’t familiar with them, they are the shit), and it basically carries everything that I need on a daily basis. All these corona-essentials like hand sanitizer and a pair of gloves both go in here, so I don’t have to cram my pockets with them. I also got some hand lotion, my wallet, and my Fujifilm X100V with the ONA leather strap in there. I know it’s a lot, but that’s what I carry every day. Just grabbing this one thing as I leave the house has honestly saved so much time for me, and I’m planning on continuing to use it during school.

Thanks for checking out my favorites of February. As always, stay safe and just try having a good time. Catch you in the next post.
